1. Yes they were unpleasant (shouting at us when we walked into the hotel) but that was the only time we noticed them as we were out exploring the city all day (might be annoying if you wanted to spend some time in your room during the day) and to be honest from the information we got about what there problems where, we were glad to have chosen Hotel Frank so that this company can keep their doors open and not get bullied into giving in to the protestors (the majority of whom do not and never have worked for Hotel Frank).

2. Yes, the protesters were annoying, but we learned a trick our second morning--turn on the window fan unit and it drowns out all outside noise.
