1. Always irritating to have to pay for wifi in a hotel bedroom when it is free in the bar, while to dotting around the room of bottled water costing $4 or $6 was annoying too.

It was never intrusively loud, but you could certainly hear it from the rooms, and I found it irritating that as I walked in and out of the hotel there was plastic covering the carpets in the lobby, construction guys tying up the elevators and holding them on construction floors, and large furniture and dusty trash cans being maneuvered to and fro.

3. I stayed on the 8th floor, and had meetings outside the hotel from 8-5, so the renovations (which took place during the day) were only mildly irritating.
