1. The real downside to this is (as was my case) if your room is on the other side of the hotel.

2. The biggest downside to this hotel is it is right in the flight path of PDX airport so be prepared for a 6 am wake up by the departing airplanes whether you want one or not.

3. The only downside of the hotel is the proximity to the airport as there are many aircraft flying in directly over the pool area, but we found this to be a minor downside in an overall very relaxing experience.
