1. families with kids may get weirded out at night as there are club goers in the area, but it was nothing sketchy or unsafe, just a note of awareness.

3. the problem is that this hotel is in a seedy neighborhood (pretty hard to find in downtown Portland I might add) that I would consider unsafe for travellers who are not street savvy.
