1. The Metropolitan likely used to be a nicer place to stay when Detroit was in better financial shape and is still a reasonable place to stay, but the facilities are tired and sorely in need of refurbishment.

3. I know sometimes one stay is better than another so reviews are questionable but they would have to mess up a great deal of things to knock this hotel out of a high rank in my book.

4. It had the connection from instide to outside which was fun for them and again just a little better than what you might get somewhere else in the pool area.
