1. The Metropolitan likely used to be a nicer place to stay when Detroit was in better financial shape and is still a reasonable place to stay, but the facilities are tired and sorely in need of refurbishment.

2. This hotel even had some of the little things like plants in the bathroom to add to the decor; music in the pool area to add to the fun, and even a pool table in the lounge area.
