4. Two blocks from Macy's big department store, the hotel is located in midtown Manhattan making both downtown and uptown reachable by feet if you like walking.

THE HOTEL - It's the longest serving hotel in New York and has kept a lot of it's old charm in the main public areas like the reception and corridors etc which I thought was a really nice touch - it kind of reminded us of being on the titanic - you could imagine it was a place for the rich and glam of it's time - to be honest I was hoping the room wouldn't look the same - it didn't.
