8. The management did apologize when I complained about the maid service being unacceptable (and sent someone straight away to clean it, but we still had to wait outside our room), and when we checked out, we were refunded one night (it does one good to complain nicely without being a jerk).

9. ) little things caught my attention; no fresh coffee for the coffee maker, the coffee maker hadn't been cleaned out, obvious garbage items had not picked up/thrown away, etc.
