1. free breakfast was nice with assortment of basic breads, cereal, make-yourself waffles, fresh fruit (bananas/apples), juices (apple/orange), milk, and coffee -- much better offering than what I was expecting.

The rooms are small, plain and ugly (horrible green curtains, 70s oak furniture, a tube TV with basic cable, tired but clean bathroom), yet for the price (around $60/night) you get a reasonable bed, clean linens, free parking, free wifi, a fridge and microwave plus complimentary breakfast (cereal, bagels, pound cake, coffee, juice).

5. Were I in Eugene to attend a Ducks' game I would definitely make the University Inn my headquarters hotel just for the free parking.
