2. There's always plenty of room around the pool to secure a lounger and to be waited on all day long (sadly, my work schedule rarely allows that luxury), and the hot tub is just heavenly.

We visited Rodeo Drive, which is great for all your designer stores, or for a cheaper option a visit to the farmers market is well worth while, the tour of the star's houses is really a waste of time, as you only see driveways or gates, you could easily drive your self, as there are plenty of map sellers around, as so with the Hollywood sign, we managed to get right up to it.

9. One of the pool attendants, I think his name was Eric, was just so great with our five year old and went to great lengths to ensure he had plenty of toys for the pool and even made him his favourite chocolate milkshake.
