1. The staff were friendly and courteous and the conference facilities were perfect for the small conference (~200 participants) we attended.

The front desk gal could not locate a shop on Royal Street only a few block s from the hotel, and the concierge advised me against taking the streetcar to the 3500 block of Canal Street (she suggested taking a taxi for safety, during the noon hours), which was rather silly as the area was perfectly safe.
