1. So when you are traveling to new Orleans to play on bourbon street, don't make the mistake of staying at the party, retreat to a lovely, utilitarian, and reasonably priced hotel, such as the Omni.

4. However the plus points are a good quiet location, fairly spacious room and bathroom (king jacuzzi), reasonable walking distance to conference centre and French Quarter (15 mins), friendly whilst unobtrusive staff and the Omni Rewards programme which gives free Internet and morning coffee.

9. The roof-top pool at the other Omni is great and offers a beautiful view of the city but for some reason they're unwilling to let guests from the Omni Royal Crescent use it.
