1. I was there for a conference, and am so glad I did not pay Ritz-like prices for this experience.

2. The room prices are comprable to other Ritz Carltons; however, in the DC market where there is much comptetion in the luxury market I would shop around for the best value for your dollar.

5. I did not want to pay the high prices for breakfast, so I opted for the Starbucks across the street each morning which was only average in service.

6. They prided themselves on offering free coffee, cider and cookies, but these food items never seemed to be available when I was coming or going, and I would have much more appreciated having breakfast included in the price of the room.

7. We stayed at the Fairmont DC earlier in that same week and for the price, I much prefer the Fairmont's room quality and lobby.

8. But for the same price you can go to a number of equivalent or better hotels (hyatt next block over for example) that don't charge you for everything.
