1. Wakeup call right on time, took a run in the neighborhood which is safe and quiet at 6am, grabbed a quick coffee from the lobby which was rich, w/ fresh cream and walked over to the convention.

2. Long day and ended up at Martins Tavern in G-town which is a very good neighborhood pub w/ the panel I led and then back to the hotel which is a 5 minute walk.

3. Add to that an easy walk to the metro, fun shops and restaurants within a short walk, and a safe neighborhood.

4. The hotel has aged poorly, the service is rudimentary, but proximity to town and to shopping area makes it a convenient hotel to sleep in only; and for that, there are probably better value hotels in the neighborhood.
