9. ) We have stayed numerous times at the Edison Hotel on 47th -- old but charming, basic, very reasonable restaurant/family friendly) but we only pay between $225/$250 a night at the most when we stay there.

10. This hotel is in a fantastic central spot for getting to all the sights, 10 mins stroll to Times Square and about 15 mins walk to Central Park and there are plenty of bars and restaurants and coffe shops very close by.
