1. Pro/Cons Four Seasons' other Hawaiian properties:Manele BayPros: Beautiful bay (we swam with wild spinner dolphins), great spa, overall valueNeutral: RoomsCons: Food (lunch is very good but we found both breakfasts and dinners not quite up to typical 4S standard), small pool (often over run with noisy kids)MauiPros: Best swimming beach, adults only pool is stunning, food and service were both perfectNeutral: A bit expensive overall for 'what you get', main/family pool is just OKCons: Rooms are underwhelmingHualalai (Kona)Pros: Almost everything about this hotel is absolutely perfect - the priciest of the options, but in almost every way, it deserves to beCons: only con is the swimming beach is not greatAnd I know Hawaii & Mexico are far from the same place, but for good measure, since the flight is about the same distance for us from VancouverPunta MitaPros: Rooms, pools, little extra perks like complimentary mini foot massages and Haagan Daas cups in the afternoon, two amazing golf coursesCons: Felt like a gilded cage.
