2. Free access to tower was a factor in staying here, the view from the observation deck is beautiful in the evening.

3. The only benefit for staying at the Stratosphere is that you get free entry to the observation deck which saves you $16 per person.

4. (btw, $20 all happy hour 6-9p, martinis/margarita rocks/draft beer) We only came across one grumpy security guy who searched us b4 going up to the observation deck, we had to chuckle at the poor ole fella.

You pay an extra $7.50 per night (per room) in recreations fees, which gives you access to the pool and hot tub (where you can watch rappellers jump off from the tower), the observation deck (rides on top are $12 each, except for the rappelling, which is very pricey), and the gym, which has nice equipment and few users.
