1. In fact I remarked to them that in all our travels the check-in reception we got was just about the best ever.

2. You check in at the Magic Castle Hotel at the bottom of the hill (which being ranked 2 of 295 on Tripadvisor should give you a good idea what to expect), and then the free shuttle will take you and your bags up the hill to the Hollywood Hills Hotel.

3. Check in, snacks, breakfast, free DVD loan are all done at the Magic Castle Hotel down the hill.

6. It has your basic cereals, pastries, breads, etc. While Hollywood Hills Hotel doesn't have a pool, its sister hotel located where the check-in lobby is has a pool that you can use if you'd like.
