3. The lagoon is good for kids to play safely but what looks like nice sand is really hard and crusty.

5. Sure, the HHV was nicer as we stayed in a brand new tower there, but for the value and location, the Ilikai is hard to beat.

6. All in all, we truly enjoyed our stay in Honolulu and the Ilikai and we can't hardly wait to go back there sometime soon.

7. The Dole Plantation on the way to the North Shore - the pineapple ice-cream is delicious, but the hard sell from a lot of the employees in the store was off putting.

8. To the hotel's credit, the front desk staff did give the appearance that they were working hard on finding us another room with a king size bed, but we never did receive another room with a king bed during our 3.
