1. It's really noisy at night between the surf (no gentle waves hitting the shore - it's big waves crashing against rocks) and the highway (every motorcycle and truck sounded like it was a few feet away).

3. Nice view of the ocean, of course, but the water doesn't gently lap onto the shore -- it crashes onto rocks, making for a noisy night.
