The best evening out was at an Irish bar/restaurant just down the road and around the corner where there was a great band playing 60s, 70s, 80s music (NOT O'Douls which we went to for breakfast one morning and found the staff to be rather
rude
).

I would probably not have had a single complaint about this hotel, even with the small issues in the room, if the first person I spoke to when I entered was not so
rude
to me.
