5. The apartment complex has little character and the rooms were very dated BUT the location was very quiet, there was a great view of LA from our bedroom window, a view of the Hollywood sign from the driveway and the best Japanese Restaurant right next door.

7. The bedroom was up to date and cushy, though, and we really appreciated the touches you usually expect from more standard hotels, like bathrobes, local magazines, LA Times, coffee maker.

10. There was also an up-to-date newsletter of the weather, the day's activities in the area and we were so lucky we got to witness a celebrity being presented with his walk of fame star.
