1. The bar was a great throw-back to a boisterous era, but as a non-smoker, the smell caught in all the fabrics was a bit too much character to take in for more than duration of a single drink.

4. From reading earlier reviews, I had been a little concerned about hordes of smokers congregating in the courtyards, but I didn't encounter this at all.

5. The bar is adjacent to the pool so if you hate cigarette smoke you will not like the continual stream of smokers dipping out for a quick one by the pool but I had no issue with that.

6. Yes, there was the occasional smoker, but usually they were courteous and stepped to the side away from others.

9. So give up the pool if you want a swim, there's too many desperate smokers sucking down butts to even allow access if you're the least bit bothered by smoking.

10. I don't recommend the room to non-smokers, as although you are not permitted to smoke in the room, it reeks of stale smoke.
