3. In the morning we enjoyed the free cooked to order breakfast (you have three choices- fresh fruit, traditional eggs and sausage or pancakes and bacon- be sure to get your voucher when you check-in) in the nice attached restaurant.

6. You can always join the local kids across the street and jump into the 'ice pond', so called because of the cold fresh mountain water that feeds the natural pool.

7. Security: room keys are the old fashioned metal type; abundant jalousie windows, although providing fresh air and ventilation, are easily breached; rooms are quite visible from the open walkways and adjacent rooms.

The location is prime with Keaukaha in walking distance, there were many places to eat, a theatre within walking distance, the highway to take me to the volcano or any other sites there are to see and especially the 'Ice Pond' right across the street with it's brakish (fresh/salt water) to cool down after an active day.
