2. But it's friendly staff, reasonable rates, attractive setting (just across the street from the bay and a huge koi pond of it's own) well maintained buildings, attractive lobby and clean rooms with comfy beds just about seals the deal.

4. The view isn't the greatest since the parking surrounds the hotel, but it has a huge and spectacular water garden out front.

5. As mentioned by other travellers the hotel is indeed a little outdated, but you can consider that as a charm too - compared to those huge unpersonal high rise 1000 room chain hotels you'd find on many tourist spots.

7. You really won't get that much of an ocean view, but as long as you're overlooking the huge koi pond, it'll be ok.
