4. I asked if they might have a slightly better room as a Diamond member (and the fact I know there are many different types of rooms in this hotel).

7. Once you get over the fact you have to pay extra for parking (open air valet parking is behind the hotel, directly attached) which is normal for many downtown hotels, things get better.

8. The bed could have been better, but it's a Hampton Inn so you can't really complain much, what do you expect? We had a couple of negative experiences though.

I was sickened to the core, I called and spoke to the head of housekeeping who whilst sympathetic, backed his housekeepers to the full and denied it could have happened, he did give me the option of filing a police report although I explained i'm sure Albany's finest have better things to do than investigate the theft of $6.
