After reading the reviews in Tripadvisor, I became concerned, but the reality is mostly good, which I will now report upon: First, the good -- this slice of paradise (Wailea-Makena) is tops on Maui because of the awesome views, spectacular landscaping, low humidity, relatively low traffic, and minimal commercial shlock to mar the beauty.
