1. Half the lights didn't seem to be working, so everything was just barely lit -- which I guess just helped to camouflage the dirt.

No apology, no friendly word, no advice on how to treat my clothes and luggage, let alone a refund or laundry voucher or indeed anything helpful (various extremely friendly pharmacists, laundry workers and hardware store salespeople explained what to do to the ignorant European, lost another half day on laundering and spraying my stuff.

3. The desk staff turned out to be of minimum help in suggesting parking garages (free parking was listed as an amenity, but that turned out to be non-existant street parking (no available spaces)), dining locations or even posting an "out of order" sign on a vending machine that took your money but didn't work.

5. the staff is nice and helpful and the area is not too touristy, so you can experience the real new york and great restaurants in the area.

6. The towels we got at reception and left them in our room once done our room never goscred for my belongings The staff were rude and werent helpful although one of the t cleaned once , thank god cause i thought i would of been robbed of my stuff.
