3. I had used Marriott points plus $150/night to upgrade to a deluxe ocean front room (which was lovely by the way) - add to this the $36/night parking, $15/day internet and ridiculous prices at restaurants and pool bars - my lovely 'just about free' spa weekend was almost completely ruined.

5. We had a wonderful stay at the Ihilani, the room was beautiful with an ocean front view, we had wonderful experiences at all the bars and restaurant.

Some things I did like about the property: the pool is nice, drinks at the poolside bar were delicious, and if you walk to the north (past the sign that says 'now leaving resort property, enter at your own risk) there is a pretty cove with turtles and a GREAT snorkeling cove right across from the Paradise Cove luau.
