4. Nice room, a lot of amenities, swimming pool big enough to swim, internet access in wifi in the room, and a 'happy hour' everyday at 5 pm , when a drink is offered-white or red wine-.

DC Palomar is a luxurious boutique hotel,great location,places to eat,staff very friendly and helpful!,We joined their loyatly program--'Kimpton in Touch'-and always receive VIP treatment,mentioned it was our anniversary and there was a special treat wating in our room,called while driving and Ahmad was very helpful with directions,and early check-in,pool lovely,social hour--fun way to meet other travelers, We have stayed at other Kimpton properites in various locations.

This is going to be a long review, so for everyone who can't be bothered reading chapter and verse, here's a summary of good and less good:GOOD- great location in a nice district of a wonderful city- clean and spacious rooms- nice pool area- free wine at wine-hour- friendly doormen who are happy to shoot the breezeLESS GOOD- we didn't find the people on the front desk very friendly or helpful (I accept this is in direct contrast to most other reviews)- wine hour is a good initiative, but why not provide more seating for people- internet was advertised as being available for a nominal fee.
