6. The hotel was very shabby, the upholstery on the seating in the lobby was soiled, the rooms were not clean, there was mold growing in the bathroom, not all of the lighting worked, the air conditioning did not work properly, there was no Internet access beyond the lobby area, AND the elevator was broken.

8. Yes, the room was tiny and had an air of shabbiness about it; yes, we laughed over the fact that the closet - such that it was - was located in the bathroom (nowhere else to fit it, I guess); yes, the shower head was kind of crappy (worked just fine, but this was not a luxurious shower).

9. I stayed in this shabby little hotel that had plastic sheeting over the windows to keep out the draft AND I loved it.
