Stayed here for convenience not charm but ended up in a dark room with
loud
I-35 traffic noise, dimly lit bathroom and no hot water (it was tepid at best).

At no point did any of the staff apologize for the recurring problem of the

There was a crack between the window unit and the window so if you turned off the heater (because it was so
loud
and it made it hard to sleep) then the cold air rushed into the room.

It was VERY LOUD - both in the room because of the A/C unit having to blast away constantly, then outside - people seemed to be slamming doors shut all night long.

The only problems were that the water tastes funny in the hotel (we did not notice this in other parts of town), the air conditioner is too
loud
in the room (other travelers mentioned this and we agree), and items in the convenience store are overpriced (like in many hotels).

He did not quite understand the nature of our problem, as he had assumed we reported that the unit was not working, but we had to inform him (and luckily we speak Spanish) that the unit was indeed putting out cold air, but it was extremely
loud
.

There was also one larger issue with the room, which was, as other posters on this site have mentioned, the
loud
climate control unit.
