However, service was good (although the
poor
guy on the front desk was often alone and overwhelmed) and prompt; I had room service twice and it was efficient and tasty.

The bathroom was in
poor
repair, even though there had been a remodel a year ago.

Despite the lack of availability of decent buffet food, I was very favorably impressed by the personnel - the woman hosting the breakfast bar (a) insisted on making me a new waffle and fresh coffee, and (b) reported the
poor
egg quality to the cook who made me a special plate and brought it to me himself.

The next day, as I was getting ready, I noticed a very very slight sewer fragrance in the bathroom, and figured it out - apparently the caulking seals had broken, and that was all that was between the
poor
installation and the ambient air.

This hotel is okay (quiet, close to the university and connected to the Internet), but the carpet in my room was very dirty and most services were quite limited: (i) no room service (and the dinner menu at the bar is
poor
); (ii) no sofa or coffee table in the room; (iii) no fridge or mini-bar in the room; (iv) no safe in the room; (v) very bad TV reception/remote broken; (vi) no free mouth wash in the bathroom, etc.

Good thing the chairs are comfy because the signal is
poor
and slow, even in the lobby.
