3. We arrived from Baltimore and found the Melrose, without too much difficulty, DC is such a great city to get around, in fact it doesn't feel like City at all.

6. The first time I was willing to assume I'd left the key card too close to my cell phone or something, but I've never had a key go bad repeatedly like this.

I will definitely be back, and I would also like to thank the parking valet staff, especially Stephen who is a major asset to this hotel and did more for marketing it than any expensive brochure or website could: just by being friendly, and giving me the impression that he was genuinely interested in making sure guests were looked after and comfortable.

8. There is a metro station two blocks away, and if you like to walk you are really close from the center.
