7. He said they had upgraded us, free of charge, to a queen bed, but this seemed suspicious to me, since it was only by going to our room that we discovered the one bed- in other words, they upgraded us before we complained? The best he could offer us was an upgrade to a king for 15 more dollars a day- at that point, I felt I was being lied to, and wasn`t about to give them any more money.

8. It was a more than adequate start for us, but if you need more there`s a diner down the block with one of the best breakfasts on Union Square.
