1. If you are looking for a safe, convenient location and no frills accommodations at a competitive cost in a city famous for $$$$ hotels, then The Fitz is a very good choice.

So for $219 per night you get:- The person who checked me in barely spoke English- Elevator out of a Hitchcock horror movie- Room so small you can barely move around- No desk- No place to put suitcase- Closet about a foot wide with 3 hangers- No coffeemaker and no coffee downstairs other than during breakfast- Tiny TV- No air conditioning- The power in my room shorted out at least 3 times (so far, have 1 night to go), even after the promise that an engineer would come to fix itPlus points- Bar fridge- Water pressure in shower pretty good.
