1. They have some sort of spa, but it's not a general use thing.

2. However, compared to my experiences in Japan in general, I'm used to not only very friendly service but very friendly people in general.

3. Both sides of the bed feature generous night stands topped with Japanese-styled lamps.

4. Decent if you need to do business directly in the J-town area of downtown LA but really nothing special; average 2 to 3 star hotel at the very MOST and that's being too generous for these drab, dated rooms and I honestly feel like some Holiday Inn's are actually more comfortable.
"Decent but Rather Not " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/28/2011 Vote
5. The majority of guests are Japanese - makes sense, located in little Tokyo - but as a business hotel the Miyako lets you down in a few ways: 1) breakfast is average for the price, 2) parking is either valet or off-site somewhere, and 3) the general facilities are getting 'tired'.
"Great for Japanese, just OK for westerners " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/21/2011 Vote
6. Needed quick access to the general downtown LA area and this hotel was situated in a safe and convenient location.

10. Cute Japanese/modern design (a refreshing break from the generic, mediocre, cookie-cutter aesthetic of most mid-priced hotels), super comfy duvet, fun location, w/tons of Japanese restaurants and shops at your doorstep--more fun than staying elsewhere in downtown LA.
"Exceptional value, fun Japantown location, cool modern/Japanese design with character " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/18/2009 Vote
