5. As a member, The Helix offered us continental breakfast for two for $1, free hot chocolate or chai tea in the afternoon, a free wine reception in the evening, a free newpaper of our choice in the morning, and a coupon for $10 to 'raid the mini-bar!' Plus, the decor of the hotel was very hip and modern.

6. It allows you to choose type of room, free wi-fi, complimentary mini-bar, etc. We didn't bring our Corgi this time, but I think it would be a great option to have him with us instead of a Kennel.
"Fun hotel with great amenities " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/2/2010 Vote
7. If you prefer a traditional room, a lime green mini-bar/dresser, photos of Barbie and Ken on the wall and animal print robes may not be your thing.
"Quirky and Fun " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/2/2012 Vote
8. They have an amazing hospitality program that includes free happy hours, free Wifi, and even mini-bar privileges.

9. The negatives: no coffee maker in the room, no clue in the room as to how to open the mini-bar (you're supposed to know that you should go down to the front desk and ask for the key), the bathroom is small and not 'luxe,' the water pressure in the shower is low, it is hard to make fine adjustments to the temperature in the shower, and in my room at least the knob for the shower was stuck and I had to have someone from the front desk come up and turn it on.
"Different, fun " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/2/2012 Vote
10. The front desk wasn't too helpful (no direction as to how to get to the upper floors, confusing because the first elevator you come to isn't accessible, erroneous instructions over the phone as to how to turn on the shower, no instruction as to mini-bar as mentioned).
