5. The location is an easy walk to Times Square and the theaters (but away from the crowds) and a shorter stroll to Central Park, which provides walking access to the great museums.

7. The Blakely was a surprising hotel in the heart of Manhattan, this place has a great location, great sized rooms (we had ~550 square foot room which is huge in Manhattan) Short walk to Carnegie and Stage Deli, Central Park and Times Square.

The positives - the staff are extremely attentive and friendly (pushing the elevator button in advance, pleasant at check-in and check-out, helping our stroller in and out of the building), the room was clean, and we got a suite there with a second room with door so that our toddler could sleep in peace and quiet while we had guests over (FANTASTIC and worth paying extra money for), and the location is fantastic - five minute walk to central park, and we couldn't hear our neighbors the entire stay even though the hotel was fully booked.

10. This turned out to be a merciful escape as this hotel was really lovely - pleasant and helpful staff, calm atmosphere, great room and FAB shower all in an excellent central ocation within easy walk of Times Square, theatre for Mama Mia and bus stops for the tourist open top buses.
