1. The subway is located across the street which was really convenient for us.

2. On the positive side, the pool is good, the location across the street from a Metro station is excellent.
"Mixed reviews are right " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/3/2011 Vote
3. There are plenty of places to eat on the street opposite, ranging from a McDonalds to a Japanese restaurant, which I would definitely recommend.
"Lovely Hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/1/2011 Vote
4. I got a room away from the street so I had no problem sleeping.
"Near public transportation but ghetto area " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/11/2011 Vote
5. We asked for directions a number of times and got better advice out on the street, The bathroom had mould in a number of spots and the hotel is in major need of a refurb.
"Very disappointing - the front desk staff are all hopeless " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/29/2011 Vote
6. I did not rent a car for this trip as the idea of driving in LA freaks me out, so the fact that the Metro was directly across the street was very convenient.
"Great Hotel for the Price " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/17/2010 Vote
7. When we asked the taxi driver that drove us to the hotel is this place safe, he said: This street good, one street up and down not good (it's good to know):-) Lobby of the hotel is big and nice (Starbucks coffee) but everything else is desperate for renovation.
"OK if you don't expect much " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/22/2009 Vote
8. The hotel's location is excellent, with a bus stop almost on the doorstep and a metro station across the street (buses highly recommended for cheapness and entertainment value).
"What are some people expecting for this money? " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/6/2009 Vote
9. Location - This isn't too bad, sitting across the street from the subway and not far from downtown, if you don't mind the subway and crazies at night, but, also not great as there are few options for eats and activities in a short walk's distance, and the area is simply dead on weekends, you'll need to hike or hire travel if you don't have a car to get further out.
"Run-down hotel with few services " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/2/2009 Vote
10. When we checked in we were even given the choice of which side of the hotel we would like to stay on, either street view, or at the back which was quiet, but not a good view.
"I had a Great stay...An Honest review " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/6/2008 Vote
