1. Like may other reviewers, we were surprised (but not terribly upset) by the $22 mandatory valet parking.

7. The receptionist was so nice, she gave me a free breakfast coupon for an extra person in my room for free and she didn't charge me for parking (they only have valet parking there).

9. From the outside, the Wilshire Hotel appeared like any typical hotel: located on a busy street, valet parking (not free), bland looking building, etc. The lobby was welcoming.
