3. If you are lucky, you may find a broken meter which may provide unlimited free parking as long as you don't move.

4. However, on weekends during the day, parking at a government lot at the end of the block is free until 9 p.m. After that, you can move your car to streets, since parking is free after 5 p.m. All street parking is free on holidays as well (we were there over Labor Day).

However if you are here over the weekend you can find street parking for free nearby (even directly across the street from the hotel) - just be sure to read the signs very, very carefully and be aware that by 7am on Monday morning the free parking will inevitably revert back to metered or permit parking only.

8. On arrival we asked the staff about about parking and he said the hotel parking was available, I asked about street parking and he said anywhere over the weekend was free so thats what we did and saved us a packet.
