1. As nice as it was to be off the beaten track, it was a little confusing to check in (must do that at the sister hotel) and hard to find.

It was a bit hard to find because the address on our email booking confimation was unclear, so the airport shuttle driver mistakenly dropped us at the top of the hill - but a very obliging staff member quickly organized for a hotel shuttle to take us (and our luggage) back down to the hotel reception at Magic Castle.

6. But I must admit that the mildew stains (I'm sure it isn't actual mildew, but the stains left over from scrubbing it so hard forever), the constant smell of gas in the kitchen (that they say isn't a gas leak), the flaking/chipping paint on the balcony and certain areas.

7. i was having a hard time finding cheap accommodation in hollywood, without there being numerous reviews warning of bed bugs, and when i found this place it sounded okay, but was a little out of my budget.
