1. The turn-down service left little chocolates for us and we were in the back, facing the pool which did not cause any problems.

3. And you are correct, we will not stay there again, and i would reccommend any one else to avoid a Hotel that has a problem in telling the truth.

4. Sam on the reception bent over backwards to help out with all our needs relating to this problem, he allowed us extra time in our room,he called the club where the loss occured three times and was just superb in what was a difficult situation, nothing was too much trouble.

5. However, if the problems I mentioned were addressed (room refurbishment, presence of a breakfast bar/room, lower parking rates), the Orlando could raise it's game substantially - it already has a great location and great staff, that little bit extra would do wonders for it.

When we called to have some of these issues dealt with, the managers did not return phone calls as promised, they were slow/ineffective with repairs, and not once in 4 days did any of the desk staff ask us how our stay was or offer to compensate us for the time we spent dealing with room problems instead of hanging out with our friends and family.

8. However, I understand the the hotel will be undergoing a major renovation this fall that will take care of both of these problems.

10. I'm used to such calls leading to zero results at most hotels, but at The Orlando, someone was upstairs within 5 minutes to reboot the router which immediately solved the problem.
