The first room I stayed at had the following problems:-AC unit was blowing out cigarette odor despite being a non-smoking room-Tile in bathroom was cracked and degrading-Carpet in room was stained in several areas-Free wi-fi was extremely slow-TV was an CRT unit that had very poor picture quality and limited channel selection.

3. In terms of the location you were not really close to anything but it is in Los Angeles where all of the (poor) tourist attractions seem to be 20 miles apart.
