It's smack-dab in the middle of the burbs and if you're
avoid
ing driving, it's a long bus ride + a Max ride to get where you're going.

The food is great, the beer is 'home-brewed,' the auditorium is now a movie theater (free if you're a guest) where you can dine-in on vintage couches, and you can't
avoid
writing on the chalkboards in the rooms.
"Even if it wasn't in the heart of the city, I'd go out of my way to stay here! "

Overall, an interesting, fun place to stay if you`d like to stay up late and be social and drink, but I would
avoid
it if you need a private, quiet place to stay, have kids, or have to get up early.
