2. The only outstanding meals we had were away from the hotel: An amazing night at the Lodge, where we savored each bite of the Chef's tasting menu with accompanying wines in the Dining Room (impeccable service), and a fabulous dinner at the Lanai City Grill.

5. The Lana'i vibe: Just about everyone who lives on Lana'i works for the 'Company' and so the hotel is like a little town: some really outstanding service and people, while others are not so hot.

9. The beach is outstanding , beautiful soft white sand, gorgeous turquoise sea, no rocks or weed , wonderful waves and every trip we have been fortunate to see the dolphins and swim with them with our young kids.

10. We attended a manager's reception the first night which was nice, had dinner at the resort which included outstanding food and good service, then my friend and I went to the pool after dinner to dip our feet in the jacuzzi.
