2. My newly renovated room was too big to capture completely in the cell phone photo below, was nicely decorated, and was quiet (as with other reviewers on this site, I asked for a room away from the construction).

9. In the old-school NY hotel tradition (read: not big name national/international chain) the rooms are not uniformly shaped, generally not considered spacious, there are some odd corners here and there and views are not guaranteed to be breath-taking.

10. The location is great if you want to go to the theatre, Central Park and look at the Christmas displays that the big department stores have.
