1. In terms of location this is a great area as parking is plentiful and you can walk around easily at night, and a much nicer atmosphere than Hollywood or Beverley Hills.

2. I prefer Santa Monica but as the hotels there are not in my budget, Venice was an excellent alternative; this hotel has the best location in Venice in proximity to the beach, canals, marina and plenty of eating and drinking options.
