2. The aquarium describes itself as an 'educational' aquarium -- which means that its not overly fancy (no dolphin shows, etc), but it does offer some outstanding exhibits of local Southern California fish and marine life.

3. We didn't eat at the hotel that evening as we asked the concierge to recommend a local pizza place (which I think was called Ricks) and this was excellent - nothing fancy but good wholesome food and a wide choice of beer.
